I loved every part of this newsletter. I laughed, I cried. For the blazer - it was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well.

I finished listening to Stanley Tucci’s Taste (it was a delight!), and my library has the Mary Oliver audiobook! Also, subscribed to your podcast.

Well if this wasn’t the perfect retreat recap. I feel like I’m sitting in your living room when I read your words, and I just love that ❤️

I feel like you’re right there, too. ❤️

Ok, I had been meaning to ask you for that simple syrup recipe! Off to get the goods! Also my version has waaay more bourbon in it (because who needs to measure these things)but this sounds more reasonable and will keep you from writing a poem you might really regret 🤪

I’ll make an addendum. “Double the Bourbon and it’s a Full-Time Poet.”

This recap is everything. My biggest regret of the entire retreat is not going blazer shopping with you. I DO NOT EVEN OWN A BLAZER and now I am questioning everything.

We need to rectify this immediately. A blazer with the zoom hat would be incredible.

The Zoom hat 💀💀💀

Such a fun read! The retreat sounds amazing! Also, I definitely relate to the amount of creative energy it takes to do a big move after ours this past spring--and our fourth move in three years. 🫠 I would really like to stay put for a while so I can pour that energy into more fun projects. Hugs and cheers to new adventures!

I just brought a bright blue blazer myself & loved this story -- plus hearing about your Exhale + Chicago adventures!

This is incredible and the Exhale retreat sounds like good times were had by all (and I've taken notes on mixology and snack trays!). I'm hoping to make it out for the next one...or host one in Sacramento if Ashlee is up for it in 2024!
